From October 4, 2025, to April 6, 2026, Fiorenzuola d’Arda will host an event destined to make a mark: the exhibition “JEFF KOONS — Balloons & Wonders”, staged in the spaces of Palazzo Bertamini Lucca, in the heart of the city.
After the success of the 2022/2023 exhibition, which attracted visitors not only from the local area but also from across Northern Italy, Fiorenzuola now raises the bar with a cultural project of international scope, featuring one of the most renowned and debated artists of the contemporary scene: Jeff Koons. This initiative reaffirms the city’s role as a cultural hub in the Val d’Arda, where creativity becomes a driver of development.
Balloons & Wonders: the exhibition path
The exhibition will transform Palazzo Bertamini Lucca into a journey through some of the American artist’s most iconic works. On display will be porcelain editions of the celebrated Balloon Dog (Blue), Balloon Rabbit, and Balloon Swan, crafted in Limoges with meticulous techniques that replicate the reflective surfaces characteristic of Koons’s monumental sculptures.
Alongside these porcelains, visitors will encounter works on paper from the Gazing Ball and Antiquity series. In the first, Koons reinterprets masterpieces of art history by juxtaposing them with a reflective cobalt-blue glass disc, created in collaboration with the Corning laboratory. In the second, designed in 2019, a recurring image by the artist returns: a sailboat passing between two hills under the sun, rendered with copper hot stamping.
Culture and territory
The exhibition goes beyond display: it is accompanied by a rich program of guided tours, educational activities, and public initiatives designed to engage families, schools, and art enthusiasts.
The aim is to foster a dialogue between the works, the audience, and the urban context, strengthening the link between culture and territorial development.
Curatorship
The exhibition is curated by Luca Bravo and produced by Deodato Arte, in collaboration with the Municipality of Fiorenzuola. The project brings to Emilia some of Koons’s most celebrated limited editions, presented in an accessible setting and in dialogue with the city.

“Balloons & Wonders” is therefore much more than an exhibition: it is an immersive experience that combines aesthetic wonder, critical reflection, and collective participation.
