Who is Daniel Fortuna
Born in 1981, Daniele Fortuna is a Milanese artist who has been able to reinterpret classical art through a completely personal language of bright colors, broken geometries and mythological suggestions. His signature style focuses on sculptures that blend three-dimensionality with a strong chromatic visual impact, resulting in works that are both iconic and innovative.
After a training in design and numerous experiences between Italy and Ireland, Fortuna began to experiment with materials such as wood – which he himself worked with a craft technique that recalls traditional carving – until he built figures that are inspired by Greco-Roman art, but that seem to come out of a contemporary digital vision.
Among the most iconic subjects of his works are busts inspired by mythological figures and Roman gods, reinterpreted in a contemporary key. The most distinctive element? The color: bright, saturated, at times psychedelic, always bold.
The result is an art that imposes itself with visual and conceptual force.
The exhibition: Rome Colormination
“Roma Colormination” represents a true celebration of color in the Eternal City. In this new solo exhibition, Fortuna dialogues directly with the Roman imagination, proposing an unprecedented encounter between classical sculpture and contemporary visual culture.
Each sculpture will be a point of connection between past and future, in an installation designed to enhance the contrast between tradition and innovation.
An opening between art and performance
