The exhibition – A life retrospective on the artist’s life

The exhibition traces the highlights of master photographer Marco Glaviano’s career, with an unprecedented look at his private life.

The images that distinguished his career, from portraits of supermodels who marked an era, such as Cindy Crawford, Claudia Schiffer and Eva Herzigova, to his pioneering experiments with digital photography, will be displayed in a setting that reproduces the intimacy of the master’s home, thanks to the installation curated by his sister Adriana Glaviano.

In addition to the photographs that made him internationally famous, visitors will be able to admire the artist’s personal objects, such as his diaries, rich in insights and anecdotes, and his inseparable cameras, companions in life and work.

On display are a Hasselblad, among his models of the heart, and a Fuji, witness to his last shots on film.

These elements offer a unique opportunity to immerse oneself in Glaviano’s creative mind and understand the personal context that influenced his work.

Marco Glaviano himself, who will turn 82 just on Oct. 3, will be present at the opening night; participants will thus have the privilege of personally meeting the artist who wrote some of the most important pages in the history of fashion photography, making the subjects of his shots immortal.

“Of analog cameras, I miss the fascination of the precision mechanical object and the tactile sensation”

(Marco Glaviano)
